Financial Planning Analyst
Our Financial Planning Analyst works with Senior Analysts and Advisors to assist with the wealth management and financial planning needs of clients. This position is responsible for providing support to Advisors including daily account administration, investment proposal and performance review preparation, as well as assisting in preparing deliverables that cover all areas of Financial Planning. The role will have a strong focus on administration of client relationships including account openings, alternative investment subscriptions, and various custodian-related paperwork.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Perform due diligence on investment mutual funds, ETF's, separate account managers, and hedge funds
- Support the Partners and their team by providing operational functions such as: Money movement (i.e. wire and journals) Account creation and maintenance Ad hoc project management Portfolio performance updates CRM database management
- Preparation and/or review of select client income tax returns (Forms 1040, etc)
- Prepare and coordinate materials for client meetings
- Monitor and update client asset allocations
- Compile monthly & quarterly reports on portfolio performance
- Compile quarterly tax projections
Qualifications:
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience
Completed or pursuing CFP®, CFA or similar designation - Bachelors' degree or higher from an accredited university; major in financial planning, business, accounting, finance, or economics preferred
- Strong interest in investment advisory and general financial planning services
- Excellent written & verbal communications skills
- Excellent computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Power Point. Experience with Tamarac, eMoney, Zephyr, Portfolio Center desirable but not necessary
- Reliable, follows through on commitments; a self-starter when it comes to new challenges
- Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to manage and prioritize tasks
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Client Service Administrator
Our Client Service Administrator works with one of our independent investment advisor teams located in Philadelphia, PA. Our practice provides investment advisory and financial planning services for high net worth individuals and corporate executives.
Job Description:
- The applicant should have administrative experience processing detailed information.
- Some back-office experience supporting financial advisors in a financial planning and/or brokerage environment would be helpful but not required.
- Applicant must be self-motivated, detail oriented, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to handle multiple assignments is critical, as is the ability to work both independently and as a team member.
- Ideal candidates have demonstrated a good work ethic, team first attitude and attentive detail processing administrative work.
- Candidates must be highly motivated and interested in taking the initiative for their own personal growth and development.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) is important.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare and process account-opening and maintenance documents, including transfer and custodial forms.
- Assemble new client paperwork packets and printed reports for meetings.
- Provide administrative support for investment advisory and financial planning services.
- Coordinate with custodians to ensure smooth account setup, funding, and transfers.
- Maintain accurate client records and handle time-sensitive mail, checks, and forms.
- Support advisors by preparing review packets, reports, and managing courier and mail logistics.
- Assist with scheduling and organizing in-office meetings and client mailings.
- Work in the office for at least two business days.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma is required.
